Organized by activists with Greenpeace-Houston, 350-Houston, Emerson Justice Advocates, Emerson Unitarian Universalist Church, and the Texas Drought Project.

WHAT: Training about skill-sets and considerations of planning and doing nonviolent direct action and civil disobedience for protests and strategic campaigns, primarily for activists of beginner and intermediary experience levels. The majority of organizations offering this training are focused on climate action and environmental justice; The skills covered are cross-applicable to supporting any number of justice struggles. We are motivated by a goal of growing our community networks and capacities to take action for defending our city, state, communities/neighbors, with strength and solidarity.
