One Person, One Vote Rally

New Haven Green
New Haven, CT 06510
United States
April 8, 2017,
3:00 pm to 5:00 pm

For the second time in the last five presidential elections, the nation’s preferred candidate did not become president. That's because votes don't count equally - a vote in Wyoming is worth more than 2.5 times a Connecticut vote - and not every vote matters - candidates focus on swing states and ignore states like Connecticut.

Join us on April 8th on the New Haven Green for a rally in support of the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact and H.B. 5434, the bill to have Connecticut join the Compact. With enough voices demanding action, we can send a powerful message to the state legislature and the nation: return to the basic democratic principle of one person, one vote to make every vote matter!

There will be speakers, opportunities to take action, and a platform to make your voice heard.

Whether or not you can make it, please call and/or email your state representative and state senator and ask them to support (or co-sponsor!) H.B. 5434!
