We are constituents of Senator Ron Johnson who are concerned about the direction and pace with which things are happening in Washington.
In good faith, we have scheduled a town hall session during the congressional recess at the Brown County Public Library Auditorium 515 Pine Street in Green Bay, Wisconsin for Thursday, February 23rd from 6:30-8:00 PM. We are committed to this being a civil, respectful, and thoughtful event. Given the slew of recent town halls, we understand that the Senator might be reluctant to appear at such a gathering. While we may disagree on various things, he is are our representative and we want to not only voice our questions and concerns but also hear your thoughts and better understand your positions on a variety the issues affecting us in Wisconsin.
Over the last several weeks, many Wisconsinites have called, written, or visited the Senator's offices in an effort to obtain a town hall meeting to no avail. This has led us to schedule one of our own.
It is our sincere hope that the Senator will agree to participate. This event is intended to facilitate the type of civil discourse that it so imperative to our continued American prosperity and American democracy; our intention is to seek understanding.
We welcome all those who are interested in gaining a better understanding of Senator Johnson's thoughts on the issues facing our country.
