Thanks to all the work the community has done showing up to City Hall since December, organizing different community events to fight back against the new administration and resist the racist, xenophobic, and unjust immigration policies, and collecting around 1,000 signatures and counting.... the moment has finally arrived for a vote on the Welcoming City Resolution which was proposed by Dan Besse after weeks of organizing and putting pressure on City Council to adopt such a resolution!
Y'all have shown time and time again that we are going to stand up, resist, and fight back and now we need to step up once again in this struggle and get as many folks to come out as possible next Monday to City Hall, the 27th, to stand in solidarity with the most marginalized in our community and show City Council that Winston-Salem believes in human rights, dignity, and compassion!
