Join People Power - Washington, DC, the ACLU’s grassroots movement, for an update on the Freedom Cities and Let People Vote campaigns in the District. Learn about City Council legislation to increase access to legal representation for DC residents facing immigration charges, and what you can do to advance voting rights in DC. This is a policy and action-oriented event: a brief panel discussion (featuring CARECEN-Central American Resource Center, Capital Area Immigrants' Rights Coalition - CAIR Coalition, and the ACLU of the District of Columbia) will be followed by breakout sessions for all participants to get involved!
