The Women’s Marches brought out millions of us just a day after Trump took office. Hours after the Muslim ban was signed by Trump, tens of thousands of us rallied to demand, “No ban! No wall!” Now, it’s the climate justice movement’s turn to step up.
In 2014, we came together as a climate justice movement in the hundreds of thousands at the People’s Climate March to push for a global agreement to tackle the climate crisis. A year later in Paris, we got that agreement. But last year, this country elected a new President who is threatening to walk away from climate action and backwards towards more fossil fuels.
The first People’s Climate March was bigger than anything the climate movement has ever seen. Over 400,000 people swarmed the streets of New York, with tens of thousands more in satellite marches around the country. The march showed the world how far the climate justice movement has come – we’re bigger, broader, more diverse, and more empowered than ever before.
On April 29th, we’re going to show Donald Trump just what he’s up against. Thousands will be marching in D.C. and cities around the country, standing up for climate justice. Will you join us?
