What will you be doing on the one month anniversary of the new administration?
We can tell you what we are going to do, we will #Resist. Within the short time this new administration has been in power, we have already witnessed several attacks on people's basic constitutional and human rights. Attacks like the fast tracking of the Dakota Access Pipeline and Keystone Pipeline, attacks on Immigrants, attacks on communities of faith, attacks like censoring basic climate science from guiding our public lands management agencies, and even worse attacks like completely eliminating the Environmental Protection Agency. It is time to let this President know on President’s Day, that we the people have the power, and we will #Resist.
Join us in the effort to #Resist this new administration's attacks on our health, on our planet, and our basic human rights.
WHAT: People’s Power over the President Day
WHEN: Monday, February 20th from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
WHERE: In front of the Lloyd D George Federal Courthouse
QUESTIONS: Christian.Gerlach@sierracl
People need to become awakened to the power to effect change that they can wield when they come together and organize. This new administration will have us jumping from one fight to the other, but in the least, we can make sure the administration knows that our community will stand together to #Resist one month out, and day after day, day in and day out.
Your voice is needed in making sure there will be a free and just future for our community and that we will #Resist.
Our species has faced dark and difficult times before, and undoubtedly our species will face dark times again. However in these times we have to come together to #Resist to ensure that the worst possibilities don’t come to pass. Possibilities like losing our public lands, possibilities like there not being an EPA, possibilities like the Dakota Access Pipeline being completed, possibilities like one day our future generations won’t have a healthy environment that can support life. The reason our species has made it this far is because we have come together across all barriers that would divide us, to work together to survive.
Please join us on February 20th to #Resist and show your power over the President.
We hope to see you there!
