Preserve the Social Safety Net Rally

The County Executive's budget includes a 1% cut for many HHS contracts, which will restrict services for some of our most vulnerable neighbors in the county, and make it harder for nonprofits to survive.

It is vital to ensure a sustainable nonprofit sector to support all members of our community:

RESTORE the 1% cut to HHS contracts
INCREASE all nonprofit contracts across departments by 3%

The County Council has a long history of supporting the nonprofit sector. Let's show our appreciation and encourage them to do the same for FY18's budget.
