You are fired up and Ready to Go!  You know that the best way to stop the Trump Agenda is direct face time with your Elected Officials. You have visited, or plan to visit, politicians at their local offices, town halls, and in-district events.  But you might be wondering, “How can these interactions be truly impactful?  How do we make an elected official answer our questions?  How do we hold our elected officials accountable?”

The goal of this training is help you get the most of your interactions with politicians.  By learning a series of techniques known as “bird dogging,” you can overcome the tactics Elected Officials have developed to avoid answering the questions of their constituents.  In addition, to the discussion on interacting with elected officials, the training will also touch on other topics important to activism and advocacy.

Whether you are passionate about saving the Affordable Care Act, opposing Trump’s Immigration policies, defending equality, women’s rights, and racial justice, this workshop will transform you into a more effective activist!

The training is sponsored by SOMA DEMS - Indivisible and SOMA Women’s March on Washington and being lead by a long time organizer associated with Housing Works and the Center for Popular Democracy.
