Transgender and gender diverse and gender creative students have the right to use the restroom that is most comfortable to them. This is a matter of safety, health, and emotional wellbeing. We must let our representatives know that we won't allow transgender people to be thrown under the bus for the sake of pandering to bigots.
We also support undocumented transgender people, trans people who need the ACA to receive necessary health care, transgender people of color who are doubly targeted by the hateful rhetoric of this administration, transgender veterans who will suffer for the hiring freeze, and other victims of this administration. We condemn the murders of at least 8 transgender people in America so far this year. We support both binary and nonbinary transgender people.
Please stay out of the street and allow pedestrians and vehicles to have right of way.
