On Saturday, March 11, workers, unions and the entire North Florida Central Labor Council will rally in Hemming Park against National Right-to-Work legislation and other attacks on worker’s rights.
These attacks are designed to lower wages, remove workplace protections for workers, hurt our children’s education, and cut our pensions - all for the benefit of Wall Street and Big Business.
On Saturday, March 11, at 2:00 PM, working people from all over Florida will rally in downtown Jacksonville at Hemming Park at 2pm to send our legislators a clear message:
1. Vote NO on National Right to Work, the Employee Rights Act, and any other legislation attacking unions and workers' rights.
2. Vote NO on the repeal of the Davis-Bacon Act.
3. Vote NO on attacks on the collective bargaining rights of federal employees and public sector workers.
4. Vote NO on federal vouchers for private and charter schools.
5. Vote YES to protect workers' pensions and NO to any cuts.
6. Vote YES to expanding the rights of workers to form unions and collectively bargain.
Workers in Florida have seen the effects of Right-to-Work for decades. We know it’s bad for the entire working class – union and non-union alike. We want it repealed in Florida, not expanded across the U.S.
It’s time for the working class to fight back against Wall Street, Corporate America, and their politicians by standing up to greed and corruption. We cook their food, staff their stores, build their homes, teach their children, and we are ready to fight for our future.
