There’s no place on the federal bench for someone who referred to transgender children as part of “Satan’s plan,” bragged about discriminating against LGBTQ people, and has defended anti-abortion "crisis pregnancy centers." But Trump’s nominee for a seat on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Jeff Mateer, has done all that and more.
