Republicans in Congress are poised to ram through some of their most disastrous proposals when they meet later this month to finalize the federal budget for 2017. With Trump in office, that means we need your help staying vigilant -- because we don't have a president to veto these attacks.
We also need your help pushing key people to fight for a clean deal. In Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake needs to hear that we absolutely won't stand for any budget that funds the border wall, guts protections for Mexican wolves and other endangered species, expands oil and gas drilling, or gives away control of America's public lands.
Sen. Flake has been no friend to immigrants, endangered jaguars or public lands. He is behind the land giveaway at Oak Flat, and he has repeatedly voted against wildlife protections and sponsored attacks on the Endangered Species Act.
That's why the Center and allies are holding a rally next Thursday, April 20, outside his Tucson office. Since Sen. Flake hasn't yet announced plans to hold a town hall meeting during Congress' recess, our plan is to go to him. To make this rally a success, we need you there.
