This event will be taking place on the traditional and unceded territories of the Tsleil-Waututh (səl̓ilwətaɁɬ), the Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm), and the Squamish (Skwxwú7mesh) Coast Salish Nations.
On April 6, 2017 US warships launched at least 59 cruise missile air strikes against a Syrian Army base. For over 6 years the US has been intervening in Syria, including arming and funding mercenary fighters in an attempt to overthrow Syrian President Assad, and using the excuse of fighting Daesh as a pretext to militarily intervene in Syria. The US cruise missile attack is a dangerous escalation in the US war on Syria.
In response to this criminal US bombing of Syria, peace-loving people in Vancouver are joining in protest, in coordination with actions in the United States and around the world to demand:
US STOP BOMBING SYRIA!
