Join Boston Against the Trump Agenda at UMass Boston for a speak-out and demonstration against Trump and his political agenda, on Tuesday, Feb. 21--the day after so-called "Presidents' Day." We will be rallying on campus to raise consciousness in our community and beyond it of the threats to our values, needs, and interests that are posed by recently announced and implemented pieces of the Trump program, incuding but not limited to his islamophobic and xenophobic Executive Orders, which have targeted members of our community. We will further be rallying to press our own UMass Boston and UMass administrations to take a bolder public stand in condemning Trump's recent Exec Orders, as well as to declare UMB a Sanctuary Campus, one that will provide material and legal support to those in our community who are most vulnerable in these times of Trump. In the wake of Betsy DeVos elevation to Secretary of Education, we will also be rallying to defend public education in the face of the twin threats of austerity and privatization.
