While Elise Stefanik celebrates Trump's top backers John Sweeney & Chris Collins, instead of holding Town Halls with constituents, concerned citizens will be having a Resist rally outside, to oppose Trump-Stefanik agenda that threatens to take away Health Care from Millions of Americans, and threatens our environment, human rights and democracy.
Republicans control both houses of congress, the White House, and many state governments, and they are threatening to jam an extreme agenda down the throats of Americans. The most immediate example of their abusive insensitivity to the needs of the people is the GOP threat to take Health Insurance coverage away from 30 Million Americans. And if this is not enough, deep cuts to Medicare and Medicaid is also on their agenda. Only a strong response from the American people can stop them.
That's why on Fri. March 3, local residents from all walks of life, concerned about the normalization of the Trump administration's radical agenda as witheness by their planned attack on our health care and the evisceration of our social safety net, are rally outside the GOP party at the Saratoga National Golf Course. This event has an ominous subtext: the celebration of Trump and his top uspstate backers, namely disgraced former congressman John Sweeney and Congressman Chris Collins. Rep. Stefanik will also be an honored guest. Constituents are upset that while Stefanik claims she has no time for Town Halls, she has time to celebrate Trump and his enablers. She should instead be calling for an independent investigation into treasonous collaboration with Russia to interfere with our elections.
We plan to greet Rep. Stefanik and her fellow Republicans with a clear message: We are not going to sit idly by while you plan to destroy the social fabric of American society, starting with an attack on our Health Care!
