December 14, 2017 marks five years since the heartbreaking Sandy Hook massacre in Newtown, CT. Since then, 500,000 Americans have been killed or injured by guns. Gun violence impacts all communities, and the victims, survivors, and families impacted by gun violence are often forgotten.
All are invited to join our Washtenaw County community, survivors of gun violence, and congressional leaders in this vigil of loving remembrance of all who have fallen victim to gun violence. The evening will include special guest speakers, a student choir performance, a brief march, and refreshments.
We urge you to join us in our effort to continue to shine a light on the devastating epidemic of gun violence in our nation.
