780 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10017Since the Trump administration cruelly rescinded the DACA program, leaving 800,000 immigrant youth and their families exposed to deportations, the responsibility to protect undocumented immigrants has been on Congress. However Congress is developing a budget with harsh enforcement policies through spending bills that include $1.3 Billion for the border wall, hiring of 500 Border Patrol Agents, expansion of detention centers and ICE agents, and would impact millions of people.
We have already seen the damage caused by immigration enforcement over the last few decades. And we know how much more devastation is possible with enforcement policies and budgets in the hands of an emboldened ICE and CBP, and this administration.
Now more than ever we need our electeds in the Senate to fight against any and all enforcement designed to attack our communities and to continue to push for a clean Dream Act.
