This Labor Day, September 4, join the Green Party of Michigan at the Mackinac Bridge Walk to leaflet against Enbridge’s hazardous Line 5. We’ll begin gathering at 8 a.m.
There will be a contingent on both sides of the Bridge (note: the Bridge will be closed to vehicle traffic from 6 a.m. until noon). On the Mackinac City side, meet at the corner of Nicolet and Jamet Streets (see map athttps://goo.gl/maps/
Late arrivals are welcome, as we’ll be dispersing throughout the crowds during the morning (along State St. in downtown St. Ignace and along Nicolet St. in Mackinac City). We hope to have easily identifiable t-shirts for participants (at minimal cost). We should be done around noon, and will gather at 1 p.m. for a lunch and debriefing on each side of the Bridge in places TBD.
Everyone concerned about Line 5 is encouraged to be a part of this and take a stand for the Great Lakes. Water is life! If you'd like e-mail updates, send your address to savethestraits@gmail.com. Also visit us at http://
