Come gather with community to raise funds for the Lakota Peoples Law Project - an indigenous run legal aid project that has been defending the Lakota People since 2006 and now represent Water Protectors and continuing the fight against DAPL. This event will be the end of the Standing Rock Native Nations March and will feature local band, The Blue Suedes String Quartet, an activism table and interactive art piece. There is a suggested donation of $10.
Lakota Law Project reports, "The camps may be shut down, but the fight against DAPL is far from over. Protests continue nationwide urging major banks to divest from DAPL, and a Native Nations March is planned for March 10th in Washington DC and nationwide. Chase Iron Eyes with LPLP plans to rally support for the new lawsuits filed by the Standing Rock Sioux and Cheyenne River Sioux tribes."
We will continue to provide support to the Water Protectors as they move the resistance from the frontline into the courts.
