Student-led Climate Rally: Chicago

Fifth and sixth graders from the Ancona School in Chicago are organizing a rally to protest climate change on May 5th, 2017 at 11 am. The rally will be in Daley Plaza to get the attention of government and business officials who can help make really big changes. Students will also teach about actions individuals can take. The idea for the rally started in Science class, where students researched how climate change already affects countries around the world. “One person just had the idea, and then it started branching out,” said one of the student leaders. “We hope people can tell their friends and join us at the rally so that we spread the impact.”
