Please join Indivisible Monterey Bay, the Women's March CSUMB and allies this Saturday, July 15th from 1 pm to 3 pm at Windows on the Bay in Monterey (across from McDonalds on Del Monte Blvd). We will be participating in a protest in support of the Women’s March and free speech taking place the same day in Washington D.C.
The protest was inspired by recent actions of the NRA, and a commercial they sponsored, which misrepresented the resistance against the Trump administration as being violent and misguided. The NRA dismissed Black Lives Matter as invalid, encouraged violence against women in general, and against protesters who are exercising their constitutional right of free speech in particular.
A sign-making event will be held this Wednesday evening from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Center for Change (Democratic Headquarters) at 1238 Fremont Blvd in Seaside.
