In advance of the Pennsylvania Democratic State Committee Meeting, we urge you to join us in a public action at City Hall to call on the Pennsylvania Democratic Party to live up to its rhetoric on women’s rights by demanding that state committee members:
1) Vote “Yes” to approve a survivor-centered sexual harassment policy and implement this policy at all future PA Democratic Party events;
2) Ban taxpayer-funded settlements and nondisclosure agreements for all people representing the PA Democratic Party;
Implement meaningful tracking of sexual misconduct reports and charges, available to the public; and
3) Commit to ongoing collaboration with grassroots communities to reform, strengthen, and
4) Expand Party policies on sexual and gender violence.
A year and a half has passed since a delegate for the Democratic Party was sexually assaulted at the DNC, and the Party has still. Since then, further news has broken of sexual harassment and assault by Democratic lawmakers, including settlements paid for with taxpayer money and hidden from public scrutiny by nondisclosure agreements.
