Transgender Day of Remembrance is when we remember those of us who are murdered - often quite violently. Often to where the body is disfigured beyone identification. Last year, we remembered 295 people whose lives were needlessly ended for simply being themselves..
The United States is historically the 3rd most violent place that we know of for the Transgender Community - right behind Brazil and Mexico. Sadly, we have little to no information from Russia, Africa, Asia, and the MidEast. These are places where being Transgender is a death sentence, or you simply disappear and no one ever hears from you again.
Come and remember with us.
