On June 1, President Trump announced plans to withdraw the United States from the Paris Agreement, one of the most impactful global accords with the intent to combat climate change. With new swirling questions about the fate of our planet, the conversation surrounding environmental justice is shifting. Advocates around the world, and here in the Bay Area, are stepping up and taking action in the wake of uncertainty. In this panel discussion, representatives from local non-profit organizations will discuss their work empowering women and communities of color to advocate for environmental protections and the civic benefits gained through comprehensive environmental policy.
