Join us on April 22, 2017 in Laramie for Wyoming's March for Science: a satellite march in solidarity with national and global efforts.
We'll meet outside of the UW Classroom Building (lawn on 9th and Ivinson) and from there march downtown. The march will end at the Earth Day Rally where there will be speakers, live music, and information booths. It'll be a great time gather and meet like minded people and organizations from around the state.
There will also be a city wide clean up before the march that we are encouraging march participants to join if they can. If you wish to participate in this, we'll be meeting in front of Coal Creek downtown at 10 AM.
Clean up, march, and socialize. Together we can empower each other. Together we can persist. Together we can resist.
"The March for Science is a celebration of our passion for science and the many ways science serves our communities and our world. The March for Science is an unprecedented global gathering of scientists and science enthusiasts joining together to acknowledge the vital role science plays in our lives and the need to respect and encourage research that gives us insight into the world."
We march "To let our voices be heard; To demand of our leaders in government: evidence based policy and the cessation of the silencing of scientific data that is not convenient to the party line."
Science, not Silence.
