The League of Women Voters will encourage more women to run for office at their Thursday forum. Speakers will include the King County council member for District 6, Claudia Balducci; the Seattle city council member for District 1, Lisa Herbold; and Danni Askini, a trans rights activist and former candidate for Congress. Maggie Humphreys, president of the National Women's Political Caucus of Washington, will moderate.
