The Democratic Socialists of America are the largest socialist organization in the United States and the principal U.S. affiliate of the Socialist International.

The Huron Valley chapter is a new chapter that hopes to serve counties in Southeast Michigan surrounding Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti.
