WE GP

We GP, Welcoming Everyone Grosse Pointe, is a community-based organization committed to resisting any erosion of civil and human rights, and to promoting local, state, and national policy and legislation that are in line with our guiding principles:
- We believe in affordable health care.
- We believe in racial equality.
- We believe in women’s rights.
- We believe in LGBTQA rights.
- We believe in immigrant rights.
- We believe in religious tolerance.
- We believe in protecting the civil rights of all.
- We believe in caring for our environment.

We are welcoming to all, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, political orientation, sexual orientation, immigration status, ability and more. We are non-judgmental and non-partisan. We are assertive of our basic human rights and dignity, and will offer support to any who fear losing theirs. We are responsible to ourselves, to others, and to the future. We are community oriented, and will work to make our community truly welcoming to all. We are involved, and will remain involved as long as necessary.

We GP provides opportunities for social engagement and community building, as well as opportunities for political engagement and activism.
