Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility
Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility (WPSR) is the Washington state chapter of Physicians for Social Responsibility, a national non-profit organization that serves as the medical and public health voice working to promote environmental justice, social justice, and peace and security worldwide.
WPSR asserts a strong medical voice for the prevention of nuclear war, against the development and use of nuclear weapons, and for a reduction in the role of armed force in US foreign and security policy, emphasizing alternative strategies for conflict resolution, including increased diplomacy and the rule of law; and to slow, stop and reverse global warming and toxic degradation of the environment, including the cleanup of Hanford and the protection of the Columbia River basin.
